Students of Grade 11B presented a delightful morning assembly for the Secondary Wing of VIS. Their assigned state being Kerala, the students put their best foot forward to highlight ‘God’s own country’ in all its glory. The assembly began with Shivani greeting the students in Malayalam. Then the anchor of the assembly Gunakshi took over and introduced the theme to the students. Once the school song was sung, Madhurima came forward to lead the students through the pledge followed by Sharmishta who shared the Thought of the Day. Harshini took the stage next to present the Word of the Day followed by Sathvik who shared the news headlines. Shivani and Muskan came forward next to share some interesting facts about Kerala as well as some information about a few eminent personalities hailing from the place. Keerthana and Raghunandan came forward next to share some interesting information about the ancient martial arts form of Kalaripayattu followed by an electrifying demonstration of the same by the boys of 11B. This was followed by an enthralling dance performance in traditional Keralite attire presented by the girls of 11B. The students were then addressed by Principal Ma’am who reminded them about the safety measures and decorum to be followed at school. The students then sang the National Anthem to bring the assembly to a close.
