Hungama

What makes any school event unforgettable? Was it the fun we had while planning or the chaos while executing the plan or the excitement on D-Day. Perhaps, it is all of them. Vista International School recently organised Hungama which was conducted on 10th August. It was a smashing success, bringing together the students, the parents and the staff. The school grounds came alive as it was transformed into a vibrant fair with a wide array of food stalls and game stalls.

The students set up everything that one would want- right from delictables to fun games, from haunted house to discotheques. There were activities that catered to all the ages. Vistains put their own spin in the games stalls. The variety of games they offered was truly commendable-from luck-based games, aiming games and mind games to sack races, archery, tic tac toe and science-based games, they had it all!

The scrumptious meals prepared by the students undoubtedly satisfied everyone’s cravings. The  food stalls offered an assortment of deserts, the savory chaats, the refreshing drinks and appetizing starters. Eating these homemade meals felt like a warm hug to all the customers. It gives us immense joy to announce that most of the goodies sold out quickly.

In addition to the games and food, there was also entertainment systems that kept the crowd energized throughout the day. The MCs kept the crowd engaged and the speakers played upbeat songs which undeniably added to the enthusiastic atmosphere.

Was it just the food stalls and the games stalls that had the audience excited? Well, certainly not. The 11th graders set up a haunted house which scared the living daylights of the attendees. And to remove the terror after their scary experience in the haunted house, the 12th graders organized discotheques. The dancers twirled and slid across the dance floor and made unforgettable memories.

The preparations for a Hungama began a week prior to the event with absolute excitement. All the students actively participated to put up stalls and raise money for charity. The sheer dedication, creativity and the teamwork of all the students right from PP1 to grade 12 made this event a huge success. Our students broke all the previous records of Vista by raising about 2,95,000 and the profit margin being 35%.  A huge kudos to all the teachers and the staff and our principal who worked tirelessly to make this event a huge success. Their patience, their support and their advices is praiseworthy. Hungama really proved that students are not just amazing chefs but also marketing geniuses. Hungama stands as a strong testament to the sense of team work, love and dedication that our school fosters.
