Hello everyone, I am V. Swithin Swaroop from Grade 10-B, a national rifle shooting player. Today, I would like to share my short experience, and I hope this will help you in the future. I started shooting in Grade 8. I always thought that people who achieve something significant do nothing and that their success is driven by luck.
One fine day, I had one of my competitions. I didn’t perform well in that event. I felt so guilty for playing that match terribly. It was the worst match I had ever played in my life. The next day, I was furious and ashamed of myself. I looked at the nearest object. A plain rectangular mirror hung above the desk, and I began talking to myself: “You have never tried hard. You took things for granted, and you have goals? That’s hilarious! How do you expect results to come without working towards them? You simply watch videos of people getting good scores, but never work hard or stay consistent.”
In that moment, I realized that success doesn’t come from luck but requires a great deal of hard work, consistency, and discipline. About a month later, I had my state-level shooting championship. I was putting my nose to the grindstone, consistently practicing very hard, and learning valuable lessons. I competed in a state-level match and achieved a bronze medal with a remarkable score. Everyone was shocked to see my rapid improvement in just a month. From that day, I realized that nothing is impossible if you work hard.
My experience shows that we should not expect results until we put in the hard work; self-control is equally crucial.
START WORKING HARD!
